The Douglas® F4™ Basketball System is a smaller version of the F5 fixed series. It offers a four-foot extension arm and an adequate safe-play area that minimizes potential contact with the extension mount. The F4 system features an easy-to-install design that is an in-ground direct bury. It’s ideal for institutional applications such as neighborhood parks, municipalities, and school playgrounds.

Rectangular Steel 42″ x 60″ Backboard

The durable 42”x 60” rectangular steel backboard has a 12-gauge steel shell with a white powder coat finish and an orange-printed target and border. The board has an integral reinforced steel channel on the reverse side for mounting and increased board support.

Pressure Flex Breakaway Goal

The stress of heavy, unsupervised play and aggressive dunks are no match for Douglas® Basketball Systems’ durability and performance. Constructed of robust steel with a CSPC-compliant powder-coat finish and featuring a 5/8” thick, 18” steel rim and a double spring pressure flex breakaway mechanism, our recreational breakaway goal attaches to the backboard and directly to the extension arm. The rim has a unique hidden net attachment style with hooks along the inside of the hoop; our pressure breakaway goal will withstand the weight of even the most aggressive slam dunks.

4′ Fixed Extension Arm

The Douglas® F4™ fixed extension arm overhangs 4’, providing stability, strength, and adequate room for lay-ups and competitive play. The unique extension mount is angled out of the play area, minimizing potential contact. The corrosion-resistant 4” x 4” reinforced extension arm attaches to the base of the backboard and to the outer perimeter of the frame, allowing for the preferred “clear view” style. The upper brace arms are adjustable and provide additional stability.

Structured Steel Pole

Constructed from 4” square structural steel with a 3/16” wall thickness, the Douglas® F4™ System is built to handle the toughest conditions. The steel pole is finished in an attractive black acrylic powder coat to prevent chipping, rusting, and corrosion in virtually any environment from coast to coast.

The pole is 14’ in length, allowing for a structurally sound 4’ deep concrete footing, providing a safe and steady base you can trust. Douglas F4 Installation Instructions

SHIPPING NOTICE  –    This product will be shipped via LTL Freight. The carrier will call you at the phone number provided on your order at least 24 hours in advance to set a delivery appointment. When the carrier arrives for delivery, there must be an adult present to inspect the items, sign the delivery receipt, and unload. Shipment must be thoroughly inspected upon receipt and any shortage or damage must be noted. Failure to properly note any discrepancies or issues may result in additional fees for replacement or repair.

Please note that truck drivers will not unload items – this is the sole responsibility of the recipient. If you do not have an elevated loading dock or forklift to unload your items from the truck, a liftgate may be required. A liftgate is a motorized platform attached to the back of the truck that will physically lower your order to the ground so that you can take it inside your business or home. The truck driver will place your order on the ground using the liftgate and you are responsible for moving it to the desired location at your property. This service is available for an additional fee and is NOT included with standard shipping on your order. If a Lift Gate is needed, please make this request to the carrier who will then contact us and provide a quote for the service. We will then contact you for approval/acceptance of the fee and confirmation to proceed.
