DIMENSIONS

The POP tennis net posts measure 54” in length. Once the net posts are placed into the pre-installed ground sleeve the post sits 36” above the tennis court surface.

POST

These 2-7/8” O.D. round POP tennis posts are constructed from heavy-duty 8-gauge steel and feature Allied’s® superior Flo-coat® galvanization process. Posts are finished with a black or green baked-on polyester powder coat to resist rust and increase durability. With Douglas net posts, a base collar is placed at 36”, which acts as a stop to ensure the net post is installed at the correct height when it’s inserted into the ground sleeve.

HARDWARE

The Douglas® deluxe reel is made from durable rust-free aluminum. The reel is simple to use and adjusts smoothly with a side-mounted removable handle. The reel mount, external gears, and handle are finished in a corresponding black or green powder coat finish. The baked-on powder coat finish is rust-resistant and increases durability.

GROUND SLEEVES

Corresponding 24” ground sleeves are not included but can be purchased separately. Choose from  PVC or Aluminum.

If you are constructing a new court, it’s highly recommended to install ground sleeves in the concrete instead of directly installing the posts in the concrete. In addition, If you live in an area that has winter months or periods in which you are unable to use the courts, you can remove the net posts and store them which will increase the lifetime of the posts. If at some point you need to replace the court posts, you can slide the old net posts out of the sleeve and slide a new pair directly into the sleeve.

POP TENNIS is a fun twist of tennis that’s played on smaller courts with shorter, sold paddles and low compression tennis balls. NOTE ON SHIPPING WHEN PURCHASING MORE THAN (1) SET OF POSTS  –    This product will be shipped via LTL Freight. The carrier will call you at the phone number provided on your order at least 24 hours in advance to set a delivery appointment. When the carrier arrives for delivery, there must be an adult present to inspect the items, sign the delivery receipt, and unload. Shipment must be thoroughly inspected upon receipt and any shortage or damage must be noted. Failure to properly note any discrepancies or issues may result in additional fees for replacement or repair.

Please note that truck drivers will not unload items – this is the sole responsibility of the recipient. If you do not have an elevated loading dock or forklift to unload your items from the truck, a liftgate may be required. A liftgate is a motorized platform attached to the back of the truck that will physically lower your order to the ground so that you can take it inside your business or home. The truck driver will place your order on the ground using the liftgate and you are responsible for moving it to the desired location at your property. This service is available for an additional fee and is NOT included with standard shipping on your order. If a Lift Gate is needed, please make this request to the carrier who will then contact us and provide a quote for the service. We will then contact you for approval/acceptance of the fee and confirmation to proceed.
