The PPS-22SQ system is easy to assemble and only requires a couple of tools for complete assembly. All post and base frame pieces slide into place and are secured with pre-drilled set screws. There are no small pieces to assemble.

Rugged Solid Steel Construction

The 3” square vertical post is constructed from heavy-duty 11-gauge steel. Heavy-duty base frame is also constructed of 3/16” wall 11-gauge 3” square steel. The system is completely finished with a black baked-on polyester powder coat to resist rust and increase durability. The system can be used on both indoor and outdoor surfaces and is completely weather-treated for year-round use. It is recommended that you store the system indoors during the off-season for prolonged life.

Flat Stabilizer Legs

One of the PPS-22SQ’s greatest features is its unique stabilizer legs. This portable system is supported by completely flat braces that are placed at each end and only extend 12” on each side of the court. This unique style offers a greater range of play and increases player safety. It’s just one of the reasons the system is the preferred portable pickleball system for professional play.

Durable Long-Lasting Hardware

The post is internally wound featuring a self-locking gear mechanism that prevents recoiling during winding. The main gear is constructed of plated steel while the small gear is case-hardened. The internal gear function is a 30:1 ratio, ensuring smooth and easy operation. The gear housings and caps are made of cast aluminum alloy. The posts flush mounted gear plate cover and removable handle are chrome plated.

Professional Quality Net

The net tension on typical portable pickleball nets is under 20 pounds. The net tension on the PPS-22SQ system is closer to the true permanent net tension of 400-500 pounds.

Just like an in-ground tennis net post system, the pickleball net attaches with the top headband cable, and tension is achieved with the internal wind gear system. The net is then attached at the top and bottom eyebolts, no lacing rods are needed.

The system includes the PN-30 pickleball net and a Velcro center strap. The net body is constructed of 3.0 mm polyethylene netting with a white vinyl-coated polyester headband. All net components are completely treated against the elements. Black polyethylene netting is weather-treated and headband materials are engineered to withstand any direct sun and moisture.

Transporter Wheel Assembly

The transporter wheel assembly allows for the systems to be moved on and off the court with ease. The heavy-duty non-scuff wheels are secured to the transporter assembly with smooth swivel casters that make moving the 290-pound system effortless.

When it is time to set the system in place for game play; the transporter brackets simply flip up and out of the way. The non scuff wheels are always resting on the court so there’s no need to worry about damaging the court’s surface.

The transporter wheel assembly can easily be removed by loosening two bolts.

Lift Assist Handles

Convenient lift assist handles are included and allow to easily lift each end post to flip the transporter bracket up and out of the way while the unit is in play.

History of the PPS-22SQ

The PPS-22@SQ has proven the test of time and is the original professional portable pickleball system. This deluxe portable unit is derived from one of Douglas’s original design tennis posts that was developed over 45 years ago. In the early 1990’s the full-size PPS-SQ Portable Tennis System was engineered for multi-use courts and tournaments. Later in the early 2000’s the smaller PPS-22SQ system was launched for small courts and the popularity of QuickStart Tennis. In 2018, as pickleball gained popularity, the PPS-22SQ was redesigned and became a top industry product overnight.

Achievements

The system was recognized at the ASBA Technical Meeting as a 2019 game changing product within the Courts & Recreation Division. In 2018, the system was recognized as the original official net of the USAPA National Championships.

Installation Instructions

NOTE ON SHIPPING  –    This product will be shipped via LTL Freight. The carrier will call you at the phone number provided on your order at least 24 hours in advance to set a delivery appointment. When the carrier arrives for delivery, there must be an adult present to inspect the items, sign the delivery receipt, and unload. Shipment must be thoroughly inspected upon receipt and any shortage or damage must be noted. Failure to properly note any discrepancies or issues may result in additional fees for replacement or repair.

Please note that truck drivers will not unload items – this is the sole responsibility of the recipient. If you do not have an elevated loading dock or forklift to unload your items from the truck, a liftgate may be required. A liftgate is a motorized platform attached to the back of the truck that will physically lower your order to the ground so that you can take it inside your business or home. The truck driver will place your order on the ground using the liftgate and you are responsible for moving it to the desired location at your property. This service is available for an additional fee and is NOT included with standard shipping on your order. If a Lift Gate is needed, please make this request to the carrier who will then contact us and provide a quote for the service. We will then contact you for approval/acceptance of the fee and confirmation to proceed.

CANCELLATION POLICY – Any cancellation requests for the PPS 22, #63122 must be made within 7 days of purchase date. Cancellations made after this time will incur credit card processing fees of up to 5% of order value. Any cancellation requests must be approved by National Sports Products. Any orders canceled after product has shipped will incur a re-stocking fee up to 20% and customer will be responsible for any associated shipping costs.
