Description

The classic, durable Douglas® Batting tunnel frame has withstood the test of time and has been manufactured for over 30 years. With the Douglas® Batting Tunnel frame, the poles can be set at the desired length and adjusted to fit custom net widths. Standard batting tunnel lengths are 55’/70’/75’ and widths are 12’/14’ wide. The unique frame design allows for the tunnel’s net to easily be adjusted at any time after the initial installation. The double frame system is installed with a shared-pole multiple cage design setup, eliminating the need for extra poles and ground footings. A Single and Triple batting tunnel frame system is also available.

FRAME

This heavy-duty frame is constructed using six, 14’, 4” square, heavy-duty steel poles. A black, baked-on powder coat finish on the steel frame provides the ultimate weather resistance and protection. The width of the frame is reinforced using 2-3/8” OD, heavy-duty 7-gauge galvanized steel crossbars used to attach the steel cables for attaching the net Crossbars feature Allied’s® zinc Flo-coat galvanization process for maximum protection. The frame poles are installed with 4” square 24” aluminum ground sleeves, allowing a maximum installed net height of 12’.

HARDWARE

The cable support system comprises 1/4” galvanized aircraft cable with a 6,100 lb. break strength. Cables run the length of the tunnel and are attached to the end crossbars to support the net. All net-to-cable connections are constructed from long-lasting steel. All of the necessary hardware components, including quick links, turnbuckles, cable clamps, and carabiner clips, are provided. Batting tunnel nets are sold separately—choose the size that best suits your needs.

WARRANTY

Douglas® Batting Tunnel Frames include a 5-year limited warranty with a proper installation and regular, intended use.

NOTE ON SHIPPING   –    This product will be shipped via LTL Freight. The carrier will call you at the phone number provided on your order at least 24 hours in advance to set a delivery appointment. When the carrier arrives for delivery, there must be an adult present to inspect the items, sign the delivery receipt, and unload. Shipment must be thoroughly inspected upon receipt and any shortage or damage must be noted. Failure to properly note any discrepancies or issues may result in additional fees for replacement or repair.

Please note that truck drivers will not unload items – this is the sole responsibility of the recipient. If you do not have an elevated loading dock or forklift to unload your items from the truck, a liftgate may be required. A liftgate is a motorized platform attached to the back of the truck that will physically lower your order to the ground so that you can take it inside your business or home. The truck driver will place your order on the ground using the liftgate and you are responsible for moving it to the desired location at your property. This service is available for an additional fee and is NOT included with standard shipping on your order. If a Lift Gate is needed, please make this request to the carrier who will then contact us and provide a quote for the service. We will then contact you for approval/acceptance of the fee and confirmation to proceed.
