Construction
- Shell: Encased in a thick fiberglass and gel-coat shell, finished with solar- and impact-resistant polyurethane paint.
- Core: A robust 2½” thick profile. Each panel contains an internal metal frame divided into 20 sub-compartments for maximum strength.
- Durability: This is Bakko’s toughest series and comes with a 10-year pro-rated structural warranty. Its heavy-duty build is made to last for decades.
Installation & Mounting
- Framework: Heavy-duty galvanized steel channels support the panels, giving you a solid hitting surface.
- Assembly: The most efficient installation in the lineup; uses a unique wheel-attachment system that allows panels to roll easily into the steel channels. Every backboard includes a complete assembly kit designed to lock panels into a tight, unitized, side-by-side construction.
- Support: Panel faces remain completely smooth with no visible holes; all hardware is hidden and secured via the rear wheel-and-channel system.
Performance
- Acoustics: This is Bakko’s quietest model. Each of the 20 internal sections is filled with high-quality sound-absorbing material to reduce noise from impact.
- Cost: A premium investment for country clubs, resorts, and private estates where performance and aesthetics are the top priority.
Sizing & Configuration
- 12-Foot Wide Units: These are made to attach to two tennis court fence posts, which are usually 10 feet apart.
- 16- and 20-Foot Wide Units: These larger sizes use four or five panels and usually need three fence posts for secure mounting.
- Design Tip: Mounting a 16-foot-wide backboard to posts spaced 8 feet apart creates a clean appearance.
- Popular Choice: The 20-foot-wide configuration is the most popular size, especially in the 10-foot-high Professional series.
